Peuteropvang Peuterrijk

Welcome to Peuteropvang Peuterrijk, a dedicated toddler care location operated by gro-up in the Oostgaarde district of Capelle aan den IJssel. We provide a safe and stimulating environment where children aged 2 to 4 can develop through play. Our classroom features themed play corners such as a shop, home corner and reading nook, which are regularly refreshed to offer new challenges. Registered since 1 December 2014 in the National Childcare Register under number 165863511, we accommodate up to 16 children per morning session. Located on the ground floor of primary school Ontdekrijk, we form an Integral Child Centre (IKC) together with the school, ensuring a seamless developmental pathway from toddler care to primary education. Our pedagogical approach centres on giving children space to discover who they are and what they can do. We use themes that connect with toddlers’ everyday experiences. During our morning sessions (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm) we offer development-focused activities including language stimulation through the Uk & Puk and LOGO 3000 programmes, arts and crafts, story time, singing and physical activities in the gym. Parent partnership is very important to us. Through our parent app, families can safely follow their child’s daily experiences. We organise observation mornings, parent meetings and theme letters to strengthen the link between home and childcare. When weather permits, children play outdoors on the school playground, where they can run, cycle and explore. Peuteropvang Peuterrijk is a certified VVE toddler playgroup. Early Childhood Education (VVE) supports young children’s development and prepares them for primary school, with a strong focus on language development as well as early numeracy and social skills.
