Peuteropvang IJgenweis

Peuteropvang IJgenweis is located at Sperwerhoek 4 in Waddinxveen and is part of IJgenweis Kinderopvang B.V. We provide Christian toddler care for children from two years and three months up to four years of age. Our setting has a maximum capacity of 16 places, allowing us to work on a small scale with personal attention. We operate from Christian values and norms. Every day we read a Bible story and sing Christian songs with the children. We also give extra attention to Christian holidays. Our pedagogical staff see every child as a unique and valuable person, a pearl in God’s hand. They challenge the toddlers through play with activities that stimulate social-emotional, motor and language development. The children learn to play together with peers and are prepared for primary school in a playful way. The groups are horizontally arranged: children of the same age stay together. We follow a fixed daily rhythm in which rest and regularity are central. During the morning circle we sing, read aloud and make room for prayer. Afterwards the children engage in creative activities such as crafts, singing or building. We provide a healthy bread meal with fruit and drinks. For children with allergies or special dietary needs we make appropriate arrangements. Our space is safely designed with a separate bedroom where the children can rest after lunch. The green playground is directly adjacent to the Rehobothschool, with which we cooperate closely. A connecting door allows safe passage between school and childcare.
