About this care
Peuteropvang Europa is an integrated partnership between Daltonschool Europa and Humankind. We are located at Belgiëlaan 75 in Enschede and provide professional childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our location has a capacity of maximum 14 childcare places and has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since August 1, 2013 under number 183585549.
As a daycare center, we work according to Dalton principles, where we stimulate children to think for themselves and make their own choices. We believe in the importance of pre-school education and therefore offer structured VVE programs that align with the developmental stage of young children.
Our location is ideally situated near shopping center Enschede Zuid and is part of a park-like environment on the edge of the Boswinkel, Ruwenbos and Eikendaal neighborhoods. The collaboration with Daltonschool Europa ensures a seamless transition between pre-school care and primary education, making the transition for children and parents as smooth as possible.

Violations
- Hand washing after nappy changing took place at the kitchen counter (where food is prepared) instead of in the nappy changing room, because no soap dispenser and paper towels were available there; this created a health risk and constituted non-compliance with the provider's own safety and health policy and RIVM hygiene guidelines
Summary
Peuteropvang Europa in Enschede, part of Stichting Humankind, was inspected by GGD Twente (Municipal Health Service Twente) on 4 March 2026. The location provides preschool education for 16 toddler places for children aged 2 to 4 years. Overall, the childcare provision meets legal requirements well. The pedagogical climate is positive: staff know the children well, communicate respectfully and tailor their activities to individual needs. Preschool education, staff qualifications and accommodation also meet requirements. One violation was identified in the area of safety and health: the nappy changing room lacked soap and paper towels, causing staff to wash their hands at the kitchen counter where food was also prepared. Following a recovery offer with a two-week deadline, this was remedied on 23 April 2026 by installing dispensers. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
