Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) annual inspection of 18 February 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Zuidsprong in Enschede shows a predominantly positive picture. The location, part of Smallsteps/Partou, provides early childhood education to 32 children in two groups. The pedagogical climate, staffing levels and safety policy meet all requirements. The pedagogical practice is characterised by sensitive and responsive contact, in which children feel emotionally safe and receive individual guidance. Shortcomings were identified in the outdoor play area: an unsafe sandpit with sharp edges, a worn playhouse and uneven paving slabs with protruding corners. These violations were remedied through a recovery offer within four weeks. The playhouse was removed and replaced with additional outdoor play equipment. The acoustics in the Knorretjes group remain an area for attention. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
