About this care
Peuteropvang Wereldwijzer caters to children aged 2.5 to 4 years and is located within primary school De Wereldwijzer in Utrecht’s Rivierenwijk district. Our homely classroom features various play corners such as a dolls’ corner, construction area and reading nook. We use the Uk & Puk programme to develop language, social-emotional, motor and sensory skills through play, while also offering first exposure to numeracy. Recognised for early-education (VE) services, we provide extra Dutch-language support for children with a VE referral. Sharing the building with the primary school creates a seamless and familiar transition to formal schooling.Read more

Summary
Peuteropvang Wereldwijzer in Utrecht, part of Stichting Kind & Co Ludens, provides early childhood education to 15 toddlers (ages 2–4). The annual inspection of 9 April 2026 revealed serious shortcomings in the areas of safety and health. A dead mouse was found, mouse droppings were spread throughout the group room, and general hygiene was inadequate. The safety and health policy was not up to date and provided too few concrete guidelines. Following the recovery offer and multiple re-inspections (13 April, 21 May, 1 June 2026) the situation has improved, but structural assurance remains uncertain. Other domains (pedagogical climate, staffing, accommodation) are compliant.
