About this care
Welcome to daycare Harlekijn in the Hoograven neighborhood of Utrecht, at Rijnhuizenlaan 20. We are part of Kind & Co Ludens and provide childcare for children aged 0 to 4 in a warm, familiar environment.
Nature experiences are central to our approach. Our (vegetable) garden is specially designed for young explorers: children can climb trees, play in the sand, on the grass and among the bamboo. Babies sleep wonderfully in outdoor cribs in the fresh air. Inside, we have a large playroom where children can romp, hide, dance to music and much more.
Our pedagogical staff listen carefully to what interests the children and use that to create a fun, play-filled day. We work according to the Pedagogical Heart of Kind&co ludens: children feel safe, are given space to discover and grow in a rich, inspiring environment.
We work with permanent, qualified pedagogical staff. The daycare is open Monday through Friday from 07:30 to 18:30. Food, drinks and diapers are included.

Summary
Kindercentrum Harlekijn (daycare center/kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Utrecht, part of Stichting Kind & Co Ludens, was inspected by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) on 9 July 2026. The unannounced annual inspection focused on pedagogical climate and staffing and groups. The location, with 116 childcare places and nine groups, meets all assessed quality requirements of the Childcare Act. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The pedagogical practice was assessed as satisfactory, particularly due to the sensitive and responsive actions of staff members. The staff-to-child ratios and Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) registration were also in order. The previous inspection in January 2025 resulted in a recovery offer, which has been successfully completed. The operator endorses the positive findings in her response.
