About this care
Welcome to Partou daycare Heerenduinweg 6c in IJmuiden. Our bright, spacious building sits at the edge of the dunes and welcomes up to 61 children aged 0 to 4. The children’s favourite place is our large natural garden with little hills, a crawl-through tunnel and plenty of space to run and play. We love to explore the outdoors: walks through the dunes or trips to nearby playgrounds. Inside we sing songs, do crafts and read stories together.
We follow the Partou Pedagogy and provide pre-school education (VVE) to support every child’s development. Qualified, caring staff work in small horizontal age groups. Each child has a dedicated mentor who tracks daily progress and schedules an annual development meeting with parents. The Partou parent app keeps you updated with photos, sleep and meal times and lets you request extra days or swap days when space allows.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday 7:30 am – 6:30 pm. We close on public holidays and two staff training days per year (dates shared in the app). Fresh, healthy meals—hot lunches, bread meals, fruit and drinks—are included and we accommodate allergies and special diets. Babies receive formula, nappies and care products. Children nap in quiet sleep rooms and, in summer, enjoy outdoor sleeping in fresh air.

Summary
GGD Kennemerland conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 23 September 2025 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Partou KDV Heerenduinweg 6c in IJmuiden. The location provides care for up to 61 children aged 0–4 years. All assessed quality requirements within the themes of pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health are being met. The pedagogical policy is worked out in concrete detail and is visibly applied in practice; pedagogical staff provide emotional security and stimulate children's development. All staff hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), meet the language and qualification requirements (including infant/toddler training) and are correctly registered in the persons register. The deployment of staff in training and interns complies with statutory ratios and supervision agreements. The safety and health policy is up to date, risks have been mapped out, and staff are familiar with protocols for first aid, emergencies, heat procedures and the domestic violence reporting code. Annual evacuation drills take place and external backup support is available within 15 minutes. At the time of inspection, planned floor renovation and painting work was underway; the provider submitted a clear plan of action ensuring that care continued as normal. No violations or recovery offers were identified. The municipal executive is advised to take no enforcement measures.
