About this care
Welcome to Peuteropvang De Wimpel, part of Zoople Velsen. Since January 1, 2025, we are located in primary school De Franciscus at Franciscuspad 15 in IJmuiden. Our small-scale location provides care for up to 16 toddlers aged 2 to 4 years.
We work with the preschool education program Startblokken, specifically designed for extra language stimulation and proper preparation for primary school. Additionally, we use the parent involvement program VVE thuis and regularly organize meetings for parents. Our pedagogical staff create a warm and relaxed atmosphere where toddlers feel safe, develop self-confidence, and can be curious about their environment.
Peuteropvang De Wimpel is housed in primary school De Franciscus, but registration at our toddler care does not automatically mean registration for the primary school. For placement at the primary school, you need to register your child separately.Read more

Summary
Peutercentrum De Wimpel in IJmuiden was inspected by GGD Kennemerland on 10 February 2026. This was an annual inspection for daycare (dagopvang) with early childhood education for a maximum of 16 children aged 2 to 4 years. The location meets all quality requirements in the inspected areas: general conditions, pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, accommodation and parental rights. The pedagogical practice is experienced as warm and supportive, with good attention for language development and parent involvement. The parent committee is satisfied with participation and quality. There were no formal complaints in the preceding year. An administrative shortcoming regarding the branch number in the Commercial Register has been addressed by the cluster manager.
