About this care
Daycare Burchtpoort is part of Op Stoom and is located at Burchtpoort 35 in Nieuw-Vennep. We provide care for up to 60 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our location is divided into three horizontal groups: the Moles (0-2 years), the Hedgehogs (2-3 years) and the Toddler Plus group (3-4 years). This allows children to play and develop with peers in a safe and familiar environment.
Everything we do revolves around loving care and playful development. We believe the process of what children do and learn is more important than what they make. Our pedagogical staff take real time for each child: at drop-off we listen to what happened at home, and at pick-up we share all the adventures your child experienced. We also communicate with parents through the web portal and Parent App from Konnect, so you never miss any of your child's development.

The daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) meets the statutory quality requirements for pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health. There was one shortcoming: a childcare professional did not meet the IKK language requirement. This person was temporarily removed from the group and passed the required language certificate within two weeks. An intern had been linked to the licence holder too late in 2024, but did hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). Both points have been remedied. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement action.
