Summary

This inspection report concerns an investigation for registration of a new childminder/host parent care (gastouderopvang) location of Zafirah Chanel Nicolić at Ooievaarshoek 11 in Spijkenisse. The care is mediated by childminder agency (gastouderbureau) 4Kids B.V. and has six childcare places. The inspection took place before the care commenced. All assessed quality requirements were found satisfactory, including registration, Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG)/persons register, childminder expertise, Dutch as language of instruction, accommodation and furnishing, safety and health, and the domestic violence reporting protocol. The childminder holds the correct diplomas and a valid first aid certificate. The living room serves as play space, there is a separate bedroom and the garden offers outdoor play opportunities. The risk assessment is adequate and the only identified measure (keeping toxic substances out of reach) was implemented in a timely manner. The pedagogical practice could not yet be observed as the care had not yet started, but the discussion about the pedagogical policy provided confidence. No violations or points for improvement were identified.
