We offer personal guidance through regional intermediaries who know your area well. You can use our childcare marketplace free of charge to search yourself or receive advice from our childcare advisors. We take care of all administration, payments and quality controls, so you can focus on the care of your child.
Subsidy & costs
Childminder care (gastouderopvang) through 4Kids entitles you to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) from the Tax and Customs Administration, provided you meet the conditions. We offer extensive support in applying for benefits and have current benefit tables available. You receive benefit for both the childminder's care rate and the agency costs. Our website features a calculation tool with which you can make your own calculation and compare with other forms of childcare. You can also use the child-related budget for childcare.
Childminder care (gastouderopvang) is the most affordable form of childcare, on average 27% cheaper than a daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV). The costs consist of the childminder's care rate (usually €6.40 - €8.00 per child per hour at the childminder's home) and fixed agency costs from 4Kids for guidance and administration. At 4Kids you pay no registration fees and agency costs only start when the childcare actually begins. All payments go through the agency, not directly to the childminder. We offer an online calculation tool to calculate your net costs after childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag).
Trust & screening
All childminders (gastouders) at 4Kids must meet the legal requirements for childminder care. They must have obtained the required diplomas and be registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK), which means they have been approved by the Municipal Health Service (GGD). In addition, our childminders work according to our pedagogical policy and have a pedagogical work plan. Our intermediaries carry out regular visits to the childcare locations and continuously check for safety and quality.
Childminder agency (gastouderbureau) 4Kids works exclusively with childminders (gastouders) who are registered in the National Childcare Register and have been approved by the Municipal Health Service (GGD). Our intermediaries regularly visit the childcare locations to check whether all safety requirements are met. We carry out annual risk assessments and evaluate the childcare with parents and childminders. The agency has a pedagogical policy that all childminders work according to and offers pedagogical support through its own pedagogical staff. We receive annual inspection visits from the GGD.
