MAM's Kinderopvang Hertog van Gelre is located on the ground floor of primary school Hertog van Gelre at Morellenlaan 47 in the Zevenhuizen district of Apeldoorn. We provide before- and after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 12. Because we are situated inside the school building, children can walk straight to us after the last bell. The space is designed as a cosy living room where up to 49 children can play, relax and explore at the same time. Our qualified pedagogical staff – we call them MAM’s Specialists – are ready every day with love and passion. Together with the school we ensure a continuous developmental line, so children feel safe and challenged from toddler to teenager. Summary
This follow-up inspection at after-school care (BSO) MAM's Kinderopvang Hertog van Gelre in Apeldoorn, conducted on 13 January 2026, assessed the remediation of violations identified during the annual inspection of 15 July 2025. The location, housed in primary school Hertog van Gelre with 49 childcare places, faced safety risks in the outdoor space: sunken edging tiles at sandboxes, play equipment without a head-injury-criterion test, loose pavement tiles and broken fencing. The provider has replaced the fencing, secured the pavement tiles, supplemented the surface under the play equipment and this equipment is now in use. For the sandbox, a temporary measure applies: children may only play there under direct supervision, with a target date for permanent repair in February 2026. The staff make an engaged impression and their knowledge of mandatory reporting and notification obligations (MOA) is in order. All violations have been remedied within the set timeframe.
