In our charming townhouse in the Professorenwijk, we create a warm, homely atmosphere with personal attention and a sense of security at its heart. Our beautiful discovery garden, featuring an impressive Caucasian wingnut as its showpiece, offers plenty of space to play and explore nature.
With a varied programme of activities, from creative games to outdoor adventures, we stimulate each child's development in a playful and natural way!
At BSO Madelief, we create a warm and safe environment where children can relax, discover, and have fun after school. We encourage their creativity with workshops such as painting and music, and offer plenty of room for movement and outdoor activities. In our spacious garden and through nature projects, children learn about sustainability through play.

The annual inspection of daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Madelief in Leiden, part of Flowerkids Leiden B.V., was conducted on 21 May 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hollands Midden. The location provides care for up to 66 children aged 0 to 4 years in four core groups. All assessed quality requirements have been met: pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health. The pedagogical practice demonstrated positive examples of guidance in personal and social competencies. Staff hold the required qualifications and Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) statements, and the personnel register is in order. The staff-child ratio was in compliance with requirements.
