The care takes place at the residential address of the requesting parent. The inspection was a registration investigation, as the care had not yet commenced. The childminder/host parent holds the correct qualifications, a valid first aid certificate, a certificate of conduct (verklaring omtrent het gedrag), and is registered in the Childcare Personnel Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang). The living space is sufficiently large with a separate sleeping area, garden, and outdoor play facilities. A backup caregiver has been arranged for days with more than three children. Several items were identified in the risk assessment that needed to be amended, including missing explanation about lead pipes, insufficiently fenced front garden, unassessed play equipment and cargo bike, and safety measures such as film on single-pane glass and a better hanging location for the fire blanket. The childminder/host parent made these adjustments immediately, which is why the GGD does not see this as an obstacle to registration.
