• Safety and health: hygiene and cleaning policy for shared sanitary facilities was insufficient; toilets were visibly soiled at BSO start time (remedied: daily check and cleaning before care begins, periodic inspections documented)

Summary

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected BSO Les Petits de Beets in Heemstede on 5 March 2026, an after-school care (BSO) for a maximum of 30 children (ages 4-12). The location meets the requirements for accommodation and parental rights. Shortcomings were identified in pedagogical climate, staff & groups, and safety & health, for which a recovery offer was issued. These have since been remedied. The pedagogical practice was assessed positively. There are sufficient qualified staff members and the domestic violence reporting protocol is in order.
