Summary
BSO De Wissel Op Stoom in Heemstede was inspected unannounced on 31 March 2026 by GGD Kennemerland. This temporary after-school care (BSO) facility (90 places, ages 4-12) has housed the children of BSO HMS Op Stoom and BSO Teddyzolder Op Stoom since 18 December 2025 during their renovation in Haarlem. The inspection showed that the location meets almost all quality requirements: pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, accommodation and parental rights are all in order. The pedagogical approach is described positively, with a warm, supportive style and good engagement with children. There was one violation: the location's Chamber of Commerce (KVK) registration number had not been reported without delay to the municipality for the National Childcare Register. The provider made use of the recovery offer and this shortcoming has since been resolved. The GGD advises no enforcement action, with the note that the municipality should take the resolved deficiency into account.
