Koppeltie – Zuiderbreedte is our daycare centre located in the Brede School De ZuiderBreedte at Boekenberghstraat 12 in Hoogeveen. We provide full-day care for up to 26 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our LRK registration number is 210148676 and we have been officially registered since 4 September 2017.
We operate within the Brede School De ZuiderBreedte, so your child grows up in a rich environment that includes primary schools, a library, a child health clinic and other facilities under one roof. This collaboration increases your child’s developmental opportunities and ensures a seamless transition to primary school. We offer pre-school education (VE), allowing your child to work on language, numeracy and social skills through play.
Our qualified staff work in horizontal groups, caring for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers separately. This provides calm, safety and activities perfectly suited to your child’s developmental stage. The rooms are bright, spacious and playfully arranged with areas for play, relaxation and sleep.
We are recognised by the municipality of Hoogeveen and comply with all legal requirements regarding safety, hygiene and quality. Summary
GGD Drenthe conducted the annual unannounced inspection visit on 13-11-2025 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Koppeltie – Zuiderbreedte in Hoogeveen. The location provides care for up to 26 children aged 2-4 years in two core groups and operates under Stichting Spelerwijs. All assessed quality requirements in the domains of 'pedagogical climate' and 'staff and groups' are met. A comprehensive pedagogical policy plan and work plan are in place; staff are familiar with and apply these principles. The pedagogical practice scores positively: children experience emotional security, are given room for self-reliance, collaborate frequently and learn social norms through the Uk & Puk 2.0 programme. Early childhood education is fully implemented according to the 960-hour standard, uses the Uk & Puk method, meets the 1:8 staffing ratio requirement and is embedded in annually evaluated plans. All staff hold valid Certificates of Good Conduct (VOG), correct registration in the Persons Register and required diplomas/certificates, including 3F language proficiency and VE training. The pedagogical policy staff member and coach are deployed in accordance with statutory calculation rules. No violations or areas for improvement identified. The provider endorses the findings. Recommendation to the municipality of Hoogeveen: no enforcement needed.
