About this care
KDV Het Koraal is located within Kind Centrum Het Koraal at Beukemastraat 44 in Hoogeveen. We provide Christian day-care for children aged 0 to 4. Our room is arranged so that every child finds something to do: a safe play-pen for the very youngest, a dolls’ corner, a construction corner and much more.
We believe children should develop in a safe, homely atmosphere. Therefore we follow steady daily rhythms and provide quiet sleeping areas. Each day we try to go outside; our own garden offers plenty of play and discovery.
Our Christian identity is visible in everything we do. We pray together, sing Christian children’s songs, read from the Bible and celebrate the Christian holidays. Our pedagogical staff share the same values and let the children experience God’s love.
KDV Het Koraal works closely with primary school Het Koraal and the schools De Sprong and De Fontein. This allows us to provide a warm hand-over when a child moves from day-care to school. Attention, joy and development are central to us.Read more

Summary
KDV Het Koraal in Hoogeveen, part of CKO Kleurrijk, provides care for up to 32 children aged 0–4 years in two core groups. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection of 7 August 2025 concludes that the location meets all tested statutory requirements regarding pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and premises. The pedagogical policy is in order, staff hold valid Certificates of Good Conduct (VOG) and are properly registered. The staff-to-child ratio is adequate, including when working with trainees and staff in training. The premises are safe, more than sufficient in size, and well laid out. There is one point of attention: the number of registered childcare places (32) does not match the actual number of places (28). The holder has since adjusted this in the pedagogical work plan. No violations were identified. No enforcement action is recommended.
