About this care
Welcome to KINOP Kasteel, a small-scale daycare centre in the Hatert district of Nijmegen. We provide childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a homely and safe environment. Our building at Zijpendaalstraat 7 has been transformed into a warm place where children can feel at home.
At KINOP Kasteel we have three groups: the Kroontjeskamer (baby group 0-1 year, max. 6 babies with 1 teacher per 3 babies), the Sprookjeskamer (vertical group 0-4 years, max. 16 children) and the Schatkamer (toddler group 2-4 years, mostly 3+, max. 15 children with 1 teacher per 7 children).
We work with the VE program 'Piramide'. This programme helps children discover the world in a playful and safe way, covering all areas of development. We work with themes that change every 2 months and organise theme weeks and matching activities.
Our location features a large garden of approximately 700 m² with a grass field, a large square for cycling, a covered sandpit, swings, a hill to roll down, and a flower garden. We also have a covered play area so children can play outside even when it rains.
We believe healthy food is important and work with a fixed eating schedule. Fruit, water, brown bread sandwiches, warm lunch variations and healthy snacks are included in the hourly rate, as are nappies. We do not serve cheese spread, liver sausage, pork, sweets, chips or chocolate.
