Kinderopvang Kings & Queens is a small-scale daycare centre located in the Nieuw-West district of Amsterdam. We are situated within the Pro Rege primary school building at Hemsterhuisstraat 87B and provide care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. Officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 138163947 since 16 August 2016, parents are eligible for childcare allowance.
Our centre operates with horizontal groups: children are grouped by age so that each developmental stage receives the appropriate attention and care. We offer both full-day and half-day childcare with flexible contract options. Early childhood education (VE) is included in our programme, preparing toddlers for primary school through play-based learning. The pedagogical staff of Kings & Queens are supervised by the GGD Amsterdam and work in accordance with national quality standards.

Summary
Kinderopvang Kings & Queens (daycare center/kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Amsterdam Nieuw-West wishes to expand its number of childcare places from 16 to 24. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an incidental inspection on 28 August 2025 regarding this change. The daycare center is located in basisschool Pro Rege and provides care for children aged 2 to 4 years. There is sufficient space, both indoors (122.2 m²) and outdoors (374.6 m²), and the staff meet all training and safety requirements. Two core groups are planned: one with 16 children and two childcare professionals, and one with 8 children and one childcare professional. The staff roster meets the standards but is vulnerable during illness or leave. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The GGD advises a positive decision on the expansion, provided that all other statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
