About this care
Welcome to Kinderopvang Hun Wereld at Graaf Florisstraat 95-99 in Rotterdam. Our after-school care (BSO) location has provided trusted out-of-school care for up to 29 children aged 4 to 13 since 13 August 2013. We are officially registered in the National Childcare Register under LRK number 172607000, allowing parents to apply for childcare allowance.
Our pedagogical staff are ready every weekday to offer children a safe and stimulating environment after school. We believe that childcare is more than just care: it is a place where children can relax, play and discover. Our team therefore pays a lot of attention to the development of each child and invests in tailor-made professional guidance.
The location on Graaf Florisstraat is spacious and offers plenty of room for various activities. We have extended opening hours so that parents can use our childcare flexibly. In addition, we provide a healthy and nutritious meal so that children can recharge after school.

Strengths
- The provider has structurally resolved all four shortcomings from the previous investigation.
- All staff members now hold a valid first aid certificate for children.
- The registration of staff schedules and attendance records has been improved, making the staff-to-child ratio now transparent.
- Dutch is now consistently used as the language of communication.
Violations
- Violation of qualification requirements (September 2025): a staff member could not demonstrate language proficiency at level 2F or B1. Resolved: employee is no longer deployed.
- Violation of staff-to-child ratio (September 2025): schedules and attendance records did not show whether the ratio was met due to missing arrival and departure times. Resolved: new registration method implemented.
- Violation of language of communication policy (September 2025): one permanent staff member used only English as the language of communication, another used both English and Dutch. Resolved: the staff member concerned is no longer deployed.
- Violation of safety and health policy (September 2025): on some days, no adult present was qualified to provide first aid to children. Resolved: all staff members have completed the training.
Summary
This Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection report of 18 June 2026 concerns a follow-up investigation into the after-school care (BSO) Kinderopvang Hun Wereld in Rotterdam. This small-scale BSO has 29 childcare places divided across two base groups. At an earlier annual investigation on 5 September 2025, four quality requirements were not in order: qualification requirements, staff-to-child ratio, use of the language of communication, and safety and health policy. This follow-up investigation has shown that the provider meets all four requirements. The violations were resolved by, among other things, no longer deploying a staff member with insufficient command of Dutch, improved registration of attendance and departure times, and all staff members obtaining first aid certificates.
