BSO Abeltje is located in the Nutsschool in Lankforst, Nijmegen. We provide high-quality, pedagogically responsible after-school care with your child's development at the center.
Our BSO is a safe place where children feel at home after a long school day. We create a familiar environment where children can play and relax under the professional guidance of qualified childcare workers with at least SPW level 3 education.
At BSO Abeltje, we place special emphasis on movement and music. Children can participate in sports activities in the gym or play outside. We also offer creative activities such as crafts. We believe it's important that children have the freedom to choose what they want to do - some children prefer to play outside while others want to participate in indoor activities. Therefore, we always ensure sufficient supervision so both options are available.
We work according to a pedagogical policy plan that focuses on emotional safety, personal and social competence, and transferring norms and values. Communication with parents is highly valued. Parents have the option to request additional care, both structural and incidental.

Summary
GGD inspection on 29 September 2025 at BSO Abeltje Lankforst in Nijmegen. The location provides care for a maximum of 34 children in two base groups. Two violations were identified in the pedagogical policy plan: missing concrete description of working methods, age composition and staff-to-child ratio per base group, and missing description of considerations around staff deployment. Following a recovery offer with a deadline of 15 December 2025, the provider submitted a revised policy plan that meets the requirements. Furthermore, all staffing and quality requirements have been met: Certificates of Good Conduct (VOG) and PRK registration in order, sufficiently qualified staff present, staff-to-child ratio correct, mentor per child registered, and procedure for merging groups clear. The pedagogical policy is implemented well in practice and discussed with parents. No other shortcomings found.
