• Secure continuity of kitchen support so that pedagogical staff can fully focus on the children.

Summary

Kindergarden Rotterdam Waterloostraat provides after-school care (BSO) to 58 children aged 4-13 in five groups. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection of 29 April 2025 concludes that the location meets all assessed quality requirements: pedagogical policy and practice, staff qualifications, safety and health policy, domestic violence reporting code, and premises. There is a safe and stimulating environment; staff communicate at the child's level, there are separate spaces such as a library and atelier, and the school playground provides sufficient outdoor play space. During the visit, there was some unrest due to long waiting times for the hot meal and the absence of the kitchen employee, which meant pedagogical staff had to take on additional tasks. The location manager immediately announced measures: replacement of the sick employee and a solution for kitchen duties. No violations were identified. The municipality is advised not to enforce.
