About this care
BSO De Toverfluit is part of gro-up and offers anthroposophical after-school care at the Vrijeschool Vredehof located at Vredehofweg 30 in Rotterdam Kralingen-Crooswijk. We provide a safe, homely environment where your child has a place to tell their story, find peace, play and develop.
Our activities are closely connected to the anthroposophical vision that is also applied at the Vrijeschool. We work from a pedagogical approach that aligns with the child's developmental phases, with attention to rhythm, seasons and creative expression. Children are given space to develop at their own pace in a familiar environment.
As a BSO, we are specifically for children aged 4 to 12 who attend primary school. We provide care after school in a warm and secure atmosphere. Our location at the Vrijeschool Vredehof offers the ideal setting for children to unwind after a busy school day and to play with peers.
We warmly invite you to come for a no-obligation tour at our location at Vredehofweg 30 in Rotterdam.Read more

Summary
De Toverfluit is an after-school care (BSO) in Rotterdam with 50 places for children aged 4-12, housed in basisschool Vrijeschool Vredehof. During the unannounced annual inspection on 7 January 2025, the care location was found to meet almost all quality requirements. There was one point for improvement: the parent committee had only two members, while the regulations prescribe a minimum of three. Following a recovery offer, the location added a third parent within the set timeframe, thereby now meeting the requirement. The pedagogical practice, staffing levels, information provision, and complaints procedure were all found to be in order. There are no current violations or shortcomings.
