About this care
Welcome to Kindergarden Amsterdam Zuivelplein, a small-scale and homely daycare in the Betondorp district. Housed in a characteristic Amsterdam School-style building, our location offers a calm, welcoming atmosphere for children from 0 to 4 years. With only 36 places we work in small horizontal groups: one infant group (0-2 yrs), one toddler group (1-3 yrs) and one pre-school group (2-4 yrs), ensuring every child receives personal attention.
Our large green garden is a true adventure land. Children explore the play house, cook in the outdoor kitchen, dig in the sandpit or harvest tomatoes and mint from our vegetable garden. The littlest ones have their own safe baby garden. Indoors, every room invites discovery – from soft play mats to sensory mirrors.
A professional music teacher visits weekly; even the youngest babies join in, as music helps bonding and builds trust. We carefully alternate quiet moments and stimulating activities so children feel both safe and challenged.
All practicalities are taken care of: diapers and wipes from Pampers or Naty, care products from Naïf and Sudocrem, formula from Nutrilon, Hipp Bio or Pure Goat Company, plus matching bottles and pacifiers. A fresh, warm lunch is prepared daily in our own kitchen. Feel free to drop by and experience the warm neighbourhood vibe of our daycare.
Location manager Floor Glorie and her team look forward to meeting you!Read more
GGD Inspection
Improvements needed
Inspection date: March 25, 2026
Strengths
- Staff respond sensitively and responsively to children's needs
- Good attention to emotional safety and personal skills
- Strong team with low turnover and good support (pedagogical expert, prevention coach)
- All staff received coaching in 2025
- Clear communication with parents via parent portal
Shortcomings
- Not all staff know who the pedagogical coach is, or confuse them with the pedagogical expert
- Procedure for merging base groups in the pedagogical work plan does not comply with legislation and must be amended
Summary
Kindergarden Amsterdam Zuivelplein, a daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Amsterdam with 36 places across 3 base groups (baby, toddler, and preschool groups), underwent an annual unannounced inspection on 25 March 2026. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) concludes that all assessed quality requirements are met. The pedagogical practice is strong: staff respond sensitively to children, stimulate their development, and provide emotional safety. The stable team of 10 staff members is well supported by a location manager, pedagogical expert, and prevention coach. However, a risky practice was identified: the pedagogical work plan provides for merging base groups, which is in violation of the law. This was discussed with the location manager; it did not occur during the inspection period.

Hele fijne kinderopvang.

Huiselijke sfeer, vaste begeleiding etc
