The annual inspection by GGD Rotterdam-Rijnmond on 16 March 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Oogappeltjes in Schiedam shows a predominantly positive picture. The location, open since 1 September 2025, provides daycare for 48 children (ages 0-4) in two core groups with expansion plans to three groups. All assessed quality requirements were found to be in order, including administration, pedagogical policy and practice, personnel matters, safety and health, accommodation, and parental rights. The pedagogical practice is characterized by sensitive guidance, language-enrichment activities, and social interaction. A previous violation from October 2025 regarding the Childcare Personnel Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang) — two employees not linked in time before commencement of work activities — has been resolved; all current and future employees are now correctly registered and linked. No new violations or areas for improvement were identified during this inspection.
