Kindcentrum Wieken

Kindcentrum De Wieken is a toddler group (daycare) located within primary school De Wieken at Westfrankelandsestraat 152 in Schiedam-West. We provide half-day care for children aged 2 to 4 and work closely with the school’s early-years classes. Our approach is fully aligned with the school: we use the same Early Childhood Education (VVE) programme and regularly coordinate themes and activities with the teachers of groups 1 and 2. This way, children become familiar with the school setting and the transition to kindergarten is smooth. We run a fixed morning session from 08:15 to 12:15, and parents can enrol their child for a minimum of two sessions per week. Our qualified staff offer a safe, nurturing environment where toddlers develop language, social and motor skills through play. There is plenty of room for imagination, creativity and discovery; we read stories, sing, craft and regularly use the enclosed playground and gym. Every Tuesday a specialised PE teacher provides a movement lesson tailored to the young age group. Parents register their child via the KomKids website. After registration you will receive a confirmation and we will invite you for a personal intake meeting.
