About this care
At Daycare Center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Liefste in Amsterdam, we offer a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and we are open year-round with no holiday closures. This ensures that parents can always rely on us for their children's care.
Our facilities are designed with children's wellbeing in mind. We have a spacious outdoor area of 400 m² where children can play and explore safely. Indoors, all group rooms have underfloor heating, providing a comfortable environment. We also have a ventilation system and CO2 meters to ensure healthy air quality. For extra safety, CCTV is present in the bedrooms, group rooms, garden, and at the front door.
Our meals are prepared by a professional chef, who provides fresh hot meals. We place great importance on children's nutrition. Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Liefste in Amsterdam-Zuid was inspected unannounced on 7 February 2025. The child center provides daycare for 65 children in five horizontal core groups. The inspection concludes that the childcare meets quality requirements, with one minor violation that has since been resolved. The pedagogical practice appears strong: staff provide warm, safe and stimulating activities, work thematically and know each child well. All new staff members hold correct diplomas, Certificates of Good Conduct (VOG) and language proficiency certificates; staffing levels are always in order. The violation concerned an incomplete description in the pedagogical policy of daily staff deployment and working methods when merging groups. Following a recovery offer, the holder adjusted the policy and it now meets the requirements. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) therefore advises the municipality not to impose any measures.
