About this care
Stichting Kinderopvang Zoeterwoude (SKZ) provides professional childcare in Zoeterwoude Dorp, Zoeterwoude Rijndijk and Stompwijk. We are a local, community-based organisation founded in 1989 by mothers from the village. Our mission is to offer skilled, engaged and passionate care: small enough for personal warmth, large enough for sustainable quality. We work with horizontal groups at our daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) for children aged 0-4, and offer preschool/toddler care (2-4 years), after-school care (BSO) (4-13 years) and lunchtime care. Our pedagogical vision 'Connecting & Bonding' follows the four basic pedagogical objectives of the Childcare Act, with attention for emotional security, personal and social competencies, and norms and values. For babies, we work according to the vision of Emmi Pikler, for toddlers we use the Puk method, and for school-age children we apply the principles of multiple intelligences by Howard Gardner.Read more
