About this care
Boris is a cosy, small-scale daycare centre in Wognum, where the pedagogical staff know every child and parent personally. We offer children a place where they feel safe and happy, and where they are given the space to develop in their own way. For parents and carers we provide pedagogically responsible childcare with guaranteed quality and continuity.
Our daycare centre is located in the Scholtens Building at Geert Scholtenslaan 9c in Wognum. We have beautiful, spacious group rooms and a lovely large outdoor playground where children can play and explore to their heart’s content. Thanks to our small scale, we can give real attention to each child and maintain short lines of communication with parents.
At Boris, the child is central. We follow the routines and patterns of home and keep parents informed via WhatsApp messages, photos or short videos and a brief daily report. You can always call to ask how your child is doing. We offer both regular childcare on fixed days and very flexible care, tailored to your needs.
Our activities are creative and based on educational themes. Both the very youngest and toddlers have plenty of opportunities to play, craft and grow in a familiar environment. Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Boris in Wognum was inspected by Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hollands Noorden on 27 February 2026. The location provides care for 28 children aged 0 to 4 years in one core group. Initially, not all requirements were met due to a safety risk in the group room: rubber strips coming loose from window sills and a draught strip under the door with its inner lining exposed, allowing children to peel off pieces and put them in their mouths. Following a recovery offer, the provider secured the strips and removed the draught strip, after which all assessed requirements were met. Other areas such as the pedagogical climate, staffing, and safety policy were in order from the outset.
