Welcome to Alexandra Kinderopvang, part of Tomaz Kinderopvang. We are a small-scale daycare center located in the heart of Gorinchem, housed in a beautiful monumental building. Here we offer warm and trusted care for children aged 0 to 4 years, with both childcare and after-school care under one roof.
At our daycare center, we work with a warm and dedicated team that creates a homely atmosphere, with familiar faces and lots of personal attention. The groups are small, so every child feels safe and has space to grow at their own pace. We have space for a maximum of 47 children, divided into 4 groups: one horizontal group for children aged 0-2 years and three vertical groups.

Kinderdagverblijf Alexandra in Gorinchem was inspected unannounced by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) on 24 March 2026. The daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) provides day care for 47 children in 4 groups for children aged 0 to 4 years. The pedagogical climate is positive: a relaxed atmosphere prevails, staff respond warmly and supportively, and mentorship is well organised. Staffing levels and group structure meet the requirements. However, 4 violations were identified, for which a recovery offer was made. These concerned food safety (refrigerator temperatures too high) and insufficient staff knowledge of reporting, consultation, and police notification obligations when suspecting sexual abuse or mistreatment. The provider accepted the recovery offer and resolved all shortcomings on 4 May 2026. The GGD advises no enforcement action.
