About this care
Welcome to Kinderdagopvang De Vlinder, located at Pastoor Clercxstraat 52A in Veghel. We are a daycare center for children aged 0 to 4 years and are part of the Kinderopvang De Plu organization. Our location accommodates up to 16 children in a vertical group, where children of different ages play and learn together. This setup creates a homely atmosphere and supports the social development of each child.
At De Vlinder, we follow a clear pedagogical vision: child-centered care, based on the principles of Pikler and the Kijk-volgsysteem. We provide a safe and familiar environment where children are given space to develop at their own pace. Our location is officially registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) since August 22, 2011, under number 426341715. We offer early childhood education (VVE), through which we stimulate children's language, motor, and social skills in a playful way. This provides an excellent foundation for primary school. Parents are actively involved in the care and development of their child, and we are open to personal attention and customization where needed.

- Staff use language extensively and narrate what they are doing and about to do

Violations
- Practice not in accordance with safety and health policy: staff wore nail polish and did not always have short nails, contrary to RIVM hygiene guidelines
- Insufficient first aid qualification present: on 12 January 2026 (7:30-8:30 a.m.) and 15 January 2026 (7:30-8:00 a.m.), no qualified first aider was present at the daycare center itself
- Domestic violence and child abuse reporting protocol was insufficiently specific about who the confidential advisor is
Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Vlinder in Veghel was inspected on 20 January 2026 by Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hart voor Brabant. The location provides daycare for a maximum of 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. Regarding pedagogical climate and staff and groups, the location immediately met all requirements. In safety and health, there were three shortcomings for which a recovery offer was made: staff did not always have short nails without nail polish in accordance with the RIVM hygiene protocol, on two occasions a qualified first aider was absent from the group, and the domestic violence and child abuse reporting protocol insufficiently specified who the confidential advisor is. The provider resolved all violations within the set deadline. The advice to the municipality is no enforcement.
