Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Wijssel in Gendringen, part of Kinderopvang Humankind, was inspected unannounced on 3 March 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Noord- en Oost-Gelderland. The location, registered since September 2025 with 28 childcare places, consists of a baby group and toddler group and is housed in primary school IKC de Wijssel. The annual inspection showed a predominantly positive picture: the pedagogical practice is good, with warm and responsive staff who make children feel emotionally safe. Staff hold the correct qualifications and Certificates of Conduct (VOGs), and the staff-child ratio is in order. There was one safety aspect: a defective cord of a roller blind in the bedroom, which will be replaced immediately and for which no stretchers will be placed temporarily. The annual complaints report 2025 was not yet completed at the time of inspection. The GGD advises no enforcement.
