Kindercentrum de Opkikker is located at Hennequinstraat 3 in Aardenburg and is part of Kinderopvang Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. The childcare centre is part of the integral child centre (IKC) in Aardenburg, where childcare and education come together under one roof. Kinderdagverblijf de Opkikker is specially designed for the youngest children aged 0 to 2 years. In a warm and homely atmosphere, babies and toddlers get all the space to develop at their own pace. We also provide theme-based activities using the Puk and Ko method. Peutergroep de Bengelbak is for children aged 2 to 4 years. Daycare is open every weekday from 07:30 to 18:00; extended opening hours from 06:30–07:30 and 18:00–18:30 are available for an additional fee. Summary
The annual inspection by GGD Zeeland on 17 February 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Opkikker in Aardenburg shows a mixed picture. The location meets the requirements for pedagogical climate (deployment of policy staff), staff/groups (number of qualified staff), and accommodation. However, three violations were identified. For two violations, a recovery offer was made: the pedagogical work plan had not been adjusted following the closure of the preschool playgroup (peuterspeelzaal) (resolved), and the early childhood education offer for target group children in the 0-2 group was not structurally guaranteed (not yet resolved, plan until July 2026).
