Kindercentrum Heemhuys Het Zandkasteel

Heemhuys Het Zandkasteel is a warm, small-scale daycare centre in the heart of Nieuwvliet. We provide care for up to six children aged 0 to 4, ensuring each child receives the calm, structure and personal attention they deserve. The homely atmosphere helps children feel at ease quickly and develop at their own pace. Our approach is inspired by anthroposophical principles and the Emmi Pikler method. Children are encouraged to explore and grow independently and on their own initiative. We follow the rhythm of the seasons, celebrate seasonal festivals and focus on sensory experiences. Every day we go outside—rain or shine—to play in our large garden with a sandbox, animal paddocks with rabbits, chickens and ducks, and space for water play. Inside, two permanent, qualified staff members (SPW-4 & HBO) provide a safe and familiar environment. There are two playrooms and separate sleeping areas. We use organic food, natural toys and offer activities such as children’s yoga, modelling clay, singing, storytelling and free play. No changing staff, always the same familiar faces: this gives both children and parents peace of mind. At Heemhuys Het Zandkasteel, the individual child is at the centre of everything we do. We believe every child is unique and deserves a place where they can be themselves. Parents are always welcome for an informal visit or a trial morning.
