Welcome to BSO De Kiezel, part of Korein kinderplein, located at Secretaris L. Jansenstraat 5 in the heart of Best. We provide after-school care for 90 children aged 4 to 12. Our location is centrally situated, close to the centre of Best, and works closely with primary school Kindcentrum De Kiezel. Children come directly from school to our spacious and safe care areas within the school building. Our team of experienced pedagogical staff welcomes the children with a smile and offers them a warm place to play, relax and learn new things. We work from enjoyment, independence, broad development, safety and cooperation. After school, children can take part in various activities, tailored to their interests and needs. We offer care before school, during the lunch break and after school. During school holidays and study days we remain open, so parents are always assured of childcare. Summary
GGD Brabant-Zuidoost conducted an unannounced follow-up investigation at after-school care (BSO) Kindercentrum De Kiezel on Secretaris L. Jansenstraat in Best on 19 August 2025. The investigation was prompted by a violation identified during the annual inspection on 13 March 2025: children were being cared for in a second base group without valid parental consent. During the follow-up inspection, it was found that a new consent declaration had been completed for five children; one child was still missing a signature. Following consultation with the municipality, the missing form was subsequently signed and submitted on 30 September 2025. The location now complies with the statutory requirement that each child be placed in one fixed base group, unless parents provide prior written consent for a second group. No new violations or areas for improvement were identified. The report was finalized on 30 September 2025.
