Welcome to KDV Blije Voetjes, located at Bijvoetstraat 5 in Haarlem. We are aware every single day that we have a beautiful and special responsibility to make each day a wonderful celebration for every child. Every day we ensure that your child feels seen, safe, and free to discover and play with whomever they choose. And we do this together! Together with your child, their friends, and our dedicated team of pedagogical staff.
At our daycare center in Haarlem, our expert caregivers look after your child(ren) aged 0 to 4 years. There is so much happening in the development of young children. That's why at KDV Blije Voetjes there is plenty of room to learn through play, both individually and in groups. Our daycare is warmly and safely designed for every child, creating a child-friendly atmosphere.
KDV Blije Voetjes offers a responsible warm organic meal every day at the daycare for children from 4 months old. This meal is tailored to the different ages and needs of each child. The meal is healthy, 95% organic, and above all very tasty.

Strengths
- Personnel register and Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) registrations are in order
- All childcare professionals receive annual coaching from a qualified pedagogical coach
- Safety and health policy is up to date and well implemented
- All childcare professionals hold a valid first aid certificate
- Play equipment has been approved and is inspected annually
Shortcomings
- Childcare professionals in the toddler group need to offer children more autonomy and less direction during activities
- The daily schedule in the toddler group needs to more explicitly allow space for free play
- Guidance during conflicts between children needs to be more sensitive and less controlling
- Activities need to be offered with less focus on end results
- The theme 'Respect for autonomy' needs to be scheduled earlier in the annual plan than currently planned

Summary
GGD Kennemerland conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 31 March 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Blije Voetjes in Haarlem. The inspection focused on pedagogical practice and safety. The location meets requirements regarding personnel registration, coaching and safety policy. However, pedagogical quality in the toddler group is insufficient: childcare professionals direct children too much, insufficiently respect their autonomy and offer too little free play. This is a recurring problem since 2023. No recovery offer was made due to the investigation history. The provider has drawn up an improvement plan including video interaction guidance. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises enforcement.
