About this care
Welcome to Kindercampus De Groeiplaneet, a welcoming early childhood education centre run by Stichting Impuls at Oostakkerstraat 56 in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. We provide pre-school education (VVE) for children aged 2 to 4 in two small-scale groups. Group A is open on Monday, Thursday and Wednesday morning; Group B on Tuesday, Friday and Wednesday afternoon. This horizontal grouping ensures calm and familiarity, giving every child space to develop at their own pace.
Play-based learning is at the heart of our approach. Our qualified staff follow the Impuls VVE programme, stimulating language and speech development, social skills and independence in playful ways. We work with themes that connect to the world of young children, using stories, songs and discovery corners. The rooms are bright, safe and inviting, with areas for building, crafts, reading and role play. Outside we have a paved yard and green strips where children can run, cycle and play with sand and water.
During each session children receive a healthy snack and drink. Parents can choose half-day or full-day care; half days end at 12.30 or 13.30. We work closely with De Groeiplaneet primary school, ensuring a smooth transition to kindergarten. Our location is easily accessible and parents can use our online calculator to work out their personal contribution.

Kindercampus De Groeiplaneet offers half-day care with early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE) in Amsterdam. The annual inspection of 14 October 2025 shows generally stable and responsible childcare. The pedagogical practice is good: children are actively guided, stimulated in their development, and there is a clear structure. The accommodation is safe and richly furnished. Two violations were identified, both related to a new staff member lacking the required language test (3F level reading and writing). This employee has now been re-registered for a test on 26 November 2025. If she does not pass, she will be transferred to another location. No recovery offer was issued because the organisation took immediate action. The continuity and quality of the care are assured. The municipality is advised not to impose measures.
