About this care
Kindcentrum De Havelt is located right in the heart of the Brabant village of Handel. We provide full-day childcare for children from 0 to 4 years old, 52 weeks a year. Your child is welcome from as early as three months. Because we start so early, we get to know every child thoroughly and can support development from the very first moment.
Our pedagogical staff work in small, horizontal groups. Babies, toddlers and preschoolers are cared for separately, so activities and care can be tailored precisely to your child’s age and needs. We offer Early Childhood Education (VVE), which means we stimulate language, numeracy and social skills through play, always matched to your child’s developmental stage.
During school holidays we remain open. Childcare is then provided at the nearby Kindcentrum Cornelius in Venhorst. This guarantees you continuous care, even during the holiday periods.
We value ownership: children are given space to make their own choices and discover what they enjoy. At the same time we provide a safe environment with clear structure and routine. Summary
Kindcentrum De Havelt in Handel, part of GOO Opvang en Onderwijs, was inspected on 11 February 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Brabant-Zuidoost. This was an annual unannounced inspection of a daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) location with 15 places for children aged 0-4 years. The location also provides pre-school education using the Uk & PUK method. Overall, the location performs well in meeting the quality requirements. Two violations were identified in the pedagogical policy, both concerning missing descriptions: frameworks for deviation from the staff-child ratio and policy for use of additional half-days. Following a recovery offer, the revised policy plan was approved on 17 March 2026. All other areas, including pedagogical practice, pre-school education, staff, and groups, met the requirements immediately.
