Summary

Kindcentrum BSO Het Koninkrijkje in Krimpen aan den IJssel, part of Shine Builders B.V., was inspected on 5 March 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Rotterdam-Rijnmond. The after-school care (BSO) accommodates 26 children aged 4 to 13 years in a former office building. The majority of quality requirements were met, including pedagogical practice, staff qualifications, safety policy and accommodation. However, three shortcomings were identified: an administrative violation because a 3-year-old child was playing at the location without a written BSO agreement, incomplete pedagogical policy (working method for base group and ratio deviations not described in concrete terms), and insufficient staff awareness of the duty to report, consult and file a complaint when suspecting abuse. For two violations (pedagogical policy and reporting duty), a recovery offer was made that was successfully completed. The third violation (administration) has not been resolved according to the report. The GGD advises enforcement action.
