About this care
BSO Kortland is a safe and welcoming after-school care facility for children aged 4 to 12, located within the OBS Kortland school building at Ouverturelaan 101/103 in Krimpen aan den IJssel. In partnership with KindeRdam childcare, we offer children a warm and stimulating environment after school hours. Our BSO is one big adventure. Whether it's playing outside, doing science experiments, playing football, joining a dance workshop, or baking cookies — there's always something fun to do.
We organize children into three age-based groups. Two groups are for children aged 4 to 7, offering games and crafts tailored to their developmental stage. The third group is for children aged 8 and older, where we focus on independence and participation. Children in this group might earn their cycling diploma, help plan activities, and — with parental permission — take part in independent group outings.
Our pedagogical staff listen to the children's interests and involve them in shaping the activity program. We believe in giving children space to be themselves, develop their talents, and build friendships. During school holidays, we offer a special BSO Holiday Land program with exciting and educational trips and workshops.
BSO Kortland is open from the end of the school day until 18:30. During holidays, we are open from 7:30 to 18:00 or 8:00 to 18:30. Being located inside the school building makes drop-off and pick-up convenient for both parents and children.Read more

BSO Kortland in Krimpen aan den IJssel, part of KindeRdam Kinderopvang B.V., was inspected on 13 April 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Rotterdam-Rijnmond. This was an annual inspection for after-school care (BSO) for 84 children (ages 4-13). The location scores well on pedagogical climate, staffing and safety, but has a violation regarding parent rights. The provider does not have a dedicated parent committee, which is mandatory for locations with more than 50 places. There is a joint parent committee with another location, but this does not comply with the law as it is not in the same or an adjacent building. The provider has received a recovery offer and drawn up an action plan to recruit parents, including flyers, introductory meetings and meeting invitations. Currently one parent has registered. The GGD advises the municipality to enforce.
