About this care
BSO De Blokkedoaze is located at Badhúswei 31b in Damwâld and is part of Kids First. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12, before and after school hours, on study days and during school holidays.
Our location is a certified Binnenstebuiten site: we guarantee plenty of outdoor play, nature experience and adventure. Children have all the space they need to play together, make friends and explore boundaries. We recently introduced a new group structure: the youngest children (4-6 years) stay in the familiar setting of De Blokkedoaze in the ‘Hoelahoep’ group, while older children (6-12 years) move to ‘De Campus’, a space right next to our building with the groups ‘Stuiterbal’ and ‘Jojo’. This set-up allows every child to grow and discover at their own level.
Our pedagogical staff respond smartly to the changing needs of older children: from independence and cooperation to taking on new challenges. During holidays and study days we join forces with BSO De Stuiterbal and Jojo, ensuring varied and enjoyable daily programmes. We regularly organise excursions and activities that focus on the natural surroundings of Damwâld.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected BSO Damwâld De Blokkedoaze on 28 May 2026. The after-school care (BSO) of Kids First COP Groep offers 17 places for children aged 4-13 years. Although the pedagogical practice, accommodation and most organisational aspects are compliant, a violation was identified in the area of staffing. On the day of inspection, from 16:00 to 17:30, only 1 qualified staff member was present for 16 children, while 2 were required. The provider submitted a statement explaining their decision to move staff to another location based on safety considerations. The GGD advises the municipality to enforce in accordance with the enforcement policy.
