GGD Drenthe conducted a registration inspection on 11 June 2026 at KDV Zuidlaren IKC De Zuid-Wester in Zuidlaren. This childcare location of Kids First is being relocated and will soon accommodate 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. Because the location was not yet in use, the assessment is based on the intended situation. All examined aspects meet the legal requirements: registration, administration, pedagogical policy, staff and groups, safety and health, accommodation and parental rights. The group room of 57 m² is sufficient for 16 children. There is a separate sleeping room for children up to 1.5 years and an outdoor space with sufficient play area. The provider works with familiar faces, mentors and a core group. The safety and health policy is complete and up-to-date. The location will be revisited after commencement of operations for a post-registration inspection.
