About this care
Kindcentrum De Tol is an open Christian child centre located in the Zuid-Es district of Zuidlaren. At our temporary address on Julianalaan 78 we provide daycare (KDV) for children aged 0 to 4. We are part of CKC Drenthe and operate from one shared vision: children thrive in a safe environment where attention, trust, responsibility and wonder are central values.
Our professional staff create a homely atmosphere in which every child feels seen and safe. For the youngest ones we provide bottle feeding, freshly prepared hot meals, fruit and healthy snacks. We work with horizontal groups so babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers play and learn in age-based groups. Each group has its own sleeping room with cots and bedding; babies rest in a quiet separate area.
Daily activities are tailored to the child's developmental stage: singing and making music, reading, creative crafts, outdoor play in the nature garden and exploring the sandpit. We follow the Early Childhood Education programme 'Uk & Puk' to stimulate language, numeracy and social skills through play. We also organise daily 'Peuterpret' activities including nature, games, music, exercise, creative and cooking activities. Everything we do is recorded in the parent portal KidsKonnect, keeping parents informed of their child's experiences.

Summary
Kindcentrum de Tol in Zuidlaren provides daycare for a maximum of 25 children aged 0–4 years in two core groups. The annual inspection conducted on 16 September 2025 shows that the location meets statutory quality requirements on virtually all aspects. There were two violations: the pedagogical policy contained insufficient concrete agreements on transferring developmental information to after-school care (BSO), and the early childhood education offer was not described in such a way that every child from 2.5 years of age could receive at least 960 hours of early childhood education. Both violations have since been resolved following a recovery offer. The pedagogical practice is positive in appearance: children are greeted individually, there is ample interaction, and activities are tailored to age. The accommodation is spacious and safe, staff are well trained, and parents are well informed. There is an active parent committee and no complaints have been reported.
