About this care
KDV ZieZoo is located in the multifunctional building at Perzikengaard 25 in Doorn and is part of Stichting Kinderopvang De Utrechtse Heuvelrug (SKDD), a regional non-profit foundation that has provided trusted childcare for over 25 years. We focus exclusively on children aged 0 to 4 years and operate two horizontal age groups, ensuring every developmental stage receives the right space and care.
Our calm baby group offers safety, trust and cosy sleeping areas for the youngest, while the second group provides toddlers and pre-schoolers with plenty of challenges through play materials and activities that match their curiosity and urge to move. Our pedagogical staff know each child personally and tailor the daily rhythm, care and activities to individual needs. We believe parents should be able to work with peace of mind, confident that their child is in familiar hands.
The spacious green outdoor area surrounding the building invites play and discovery. We use the garden daily so children can enjoy fresh air and burn off energy. Indoors, everything is age-appropriate: safe corners for sleeping, challenging corners for building, hiding or reading. - The description of leaving the home group for activities was missing from the pedagogical policy plan; while it stated what children do outside the home group, it did not describe how this is organised
Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) ZieZoo in Doorn, part of Stichting SKDD, provides care for up to 48 children aged 0 to 4 years in 3 groups. The toddler group Panda provides pre-school education using the Uk & Puk programme. The annual inspection on 2 April 2026 showed that the location meets requirements in the personnel and groups domain. In the pedagogical climate domain, the location was compliant after a recovery offer. Two shortcomings in the pedagogical policy plan were resolved: the description of the three-hour rule was incomplete (breaks were missing) and the procedure for leaving the home group was not described in concrete terms. The pedagogical practice and pre-school education did meet requirements immediately. Staff hold the correct diplomas and the Personnel Register is in order.
