About this care
Day-care centre De Wereld op Centrum is part of the sporty Integrated Child Centre (IKC) Wereld op Centrum, located at W. van Vlietstraat 2 in Oud-Beijerland. In a pleasant, homely environment we provide care for 11 children aged 0 to 4. Our experienced pedagogical staff give personal attention and guide the children in their development across all areas.
We use a pre-school education (VVE) programme and offer possibilities for subsidised day-care. Families with an indication can make use of subsidised day-care or toddler care. By learning through play we stimulate every child's curiosity and self-confidence. The location is centrally situated and works closely with the primary school and other facilities within IKC Wereld op Centrum.

The annual unannounced inspection on 30 March 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Wereld op Centrum / Zevensprong in Oud-Beijerland, part of De Hoeksche School Kinderopvang, shows a largely positive picture of pedagogical quality, but identifies two shortcomings in the area of early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE). The pedagogical practice is good: staff respond warmly and supportively, children are calm, and development is stimulated. The care is stable with fixed groups, mentorship, and a recognised early childhood education programme. Unfortunately, there are two recurring violations: the staff-child ratio for early childhood education does not meet requirements in the vertical group on Tuesday 24 March 2026, and one staff member does not meet the language proficiency requirement 3F for early childhood education (oral language proficiency and reading skills). The provider has since taken anticipatory action by no longer deploying this staff member in an early childhood education group. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises enforcement.
