KDV Wandelbos

Welcome to KDV Wandelbos, our day-care centre located right in the green heart of Tilburg West. You will find us at Auteurslaan 9, a stone’s throw from the Wandelbos woods and close to Tilburg University. The surrounding forest is part of our daily experience: children play, explore and learn in and with nature. Our day-care accommodates 96 children aged 0–4. We run two baby groups for children 0–2 years and two horizontal groups for children 0–4 years. Each group has its own familiar space where calm, safety and development are key. The baby rooms feature soft sleeping corners, changing areas and cosy nooks for feeding and playing. The toddler rooms invite independent discovery: there is a construction corner, a reading corner, an atelier for creative expression and a large table where we eat and play together. Our pedagogical staff work in a Montessori-inspired way. This means we give children room to make their own choices within a safe structure. We follow the child’s rhythm: whoever needs sleep can rest quietly in our separate bedrooms. Bottle feeding, fruit and drinks are always available and tailored to your child’s age and needs. For the very youngest we provide snacks and warm meals when required. Outside we have a natural garden with a sandpit, water tray, climbing equipment and a vegetable garden. Here children learn to grow fruit and vegetables, discover insects and experience the seasons. We use VVE programmes (early childhood education) that stimulate language, numeracy and social skills through play. Every day we read aloud, sing songs and set aside time for crafts and building. In short, at KDV Wandelbos children grow up in a safe, natural environment where fun, development and connection are central. We look forward to welcoming you and your child.
