About this care
KDV ’t Snippertje is the trusted home-from-home for children aged 0 to 4, located in child centre De Snip at Westerhof 12 in Nieuwe Niedorp. We welcome up to 48 children in two mixed-age groups: the Draakjes and the Doerakjes. Because children of different ages share the same space, the little ones learn from the bigger ones and everyone learns to care for each other. This creates the warm, family atmosphere that makes every child – and every parent – feel at ease from day one.
Our qualified pedagogical staff work daily with the VVE programme Uk en Puk. Through playful activities the programme stimulates language, numeracy and social skills and is perfectly tailored to the developmental stage of young children. In this way we gently prepare our toddlers for primary school. The close partnership with primary school De Snip, housed in the same building, strengthens this seamless transition even further.
Outside, children can let off steam on our large, clearly laid-out playground. They can ride bikes and carts, swing, climb, clamber and build sandcastles. The outdoor area is safely fenced and offers plenty of room to move and discover nature. Indoors everything is designed for safety and comfort: separate sleeping rooms for the very youngest, a cosy corner for quiet moments and play areas that invite exploration and shared play.

Practical info
Settling in
At Kappio, a structured settling-in period is used for children aged 0-4 years. The first introduction takes place during the intake at the group. The first settling-in moment lasts a maximum of half a day (8:30-12:30), during which your child plays and eats with the group. The second settling-in moment is from 8:30 to 15:00, during which your child also naps at the group. If everything goes well, your child will then attend full days. Parents receive 8 swap service hours back, valid for 1 year, for additional childcare options. The settling-in period starts when the contract begins and can be adjusted in consultation.
