About this care
Peuteropvang Lindenheuvel is located at primary school De Duizendpoot (location Lindenheuvel) in Geleen. We provide care for toddlers aged 2 to 4 years in 3 different groups. As part of MIK & Spelenderwijs, we consider the quality of your child's care extremely important. We offer Pre- and Early School Education (VVE), through which we prepare toddlers for primary school in a playful manner.
Our location works together with parents and caregivers through an active parent committee. In addition to the local parent committee, there is also a Central Parent Committee (COC) that provides both solicited and unsolicited advice to our organization. The follow-up inspection at toddler care PO Lindenheuvel in Geleen, conducted on 15 January 2026, shows that the location still fails to meet the legal obligation to establish a parent committee. This shortcoming was already identified during the inspection of 17 September 2025. The provider, Stichting MIK & Spelenderwijs Kindontwikkeling, has made various recruitment efforts, including flyers, conversations with parents, and an appeal on the parent portal, but has not yet been able to recruit sufficient parents. The location is considering a joint parent committee with the after-school care (BSO). Because the location has a maximum of 50 childcare places (currently: 42) and is making demonstrable sufficient effort, the violation may potentially be lifted at the next inspection.
