About this care
At SKIK’s daycare centre in Oudehaske we offer a warm and safe place for children aged 0 to 4. Located in the Kulturhûs, our cheerful daycare has two groups. KDV Oudehaske features bright group rooms, a green outdoor playground, three sleeping rooms and various play corners. We also use the gym for joint activities. Growing here is fun!

Our location is bilingual; we work in both Dutch and Frisian, guided and certified by the Sintrum Frysktalige Berne-opfang (SFBO).

By working closely with schools and other partners we align well with education and with what parents find important. - The pedagogical policy plan contained insufficient concrete description of staff deployment and qualified staff-to-child ratio (resolved following recovery offer)
- On 8 January 2026, a childcare professional without a baby care certificate was deployed with children aged 0-1 years
- On 8 January 2026, the required qualified staff-to-child ratio was not met due to deployment of an unqualified staff member
Summary
KDV Oudehaske, part of Stichting SKIK Kinderopvang, was inspected on 13 January 2026. The daycare for 32 children (0-4 years) does not meet all legal requirements. Violations were found regarding pedagogical policy, qualification requirements, and staff deployment. The pedagogical policy lacked a concrete description of staff deployment; this was resolved following a recovery offer. On 8 January 2026, due to exceptional snowfall (code orange), an unqualified staff member was deployed with babies, which also meant the qualified staff-to-child ratio was not met. The provider stated this was necessary to ensure continuity. Other areas (accommodation, parental rights, Certificate of Conduct, coaching) do comply. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises enforcement with mitigating circumstances.
